Margaret had never thought about writing until an idea popped into her head for a short story. She discovered a hidden talent and like Pinocchio’s nose the story grew and grew. To her surprise it turned into a full scale novel and she bravely sent it off to Mills & Boon, not altogether surprised when they sent it back. Although it was a romance it wasn’t suitable for their list. But they did like her writing and she wrote two more novels in quick succession and had them both accepted at the same time. She has never looked back and in thirty years has written over seventy books for them. And intends to continue doing so until such time as she can write no more.

She lives in rural England with her husband and when she’s not writing Margaret enjoys watercolour painting. In the summer she likes gardening and, of course, she loves reading. Mainly romances, but also the likes of Sidney Sheldon and John Grisham. Fine food is another of her passions and inevitably she enjoys eating out.
