"...you have to love a guy who finds the one woman for him and waits for her."

Karen Pollack is happy to be celebrating the birth of her friends Melissa and Spencer's baby boy and the pregnancy of Lexie and Max even if she is in the process of divorcing her husband, Steve. What's making the process of divorce so difficult is the fact that she has no proof of her husband's numerous affairs, but he caught her and Jake Blankenship in bed together. Steve is trying to gain join custody of their four-year-old son, and he's using her affair against her. Scared of losing her son, Karen calls off the relationship with Jake and telling him she will understand if he finds someone else.

Hot From Scandal is the third book in a trilogy from new author Erin Katz. I really enjoyed the story of Jake and Karen, seeing how it has evolved from flirtation to a relationship. Yes Jake has had his share of women in the past, but you have to love a guy who finds the one woman for him and waits for her. The ex-husband Steve is such a jerk in the way he tries to gain custody of their son and interferes in Karen and Jake's relationship. It was also great to visit with the couples from the first two books to see how not only their relationships have grown, but also their families.
