"...a wonderful debut book..."
Angelina, Angel to family and friends, is returning home as a successful designer after 5 years away. Not only is she happy to be home but she is also the proud new owner of the piece of land next to her family's land. The same land Marcus Leary tried to purchase to fulfill a promise to his grandfather, to find the lost Leary treasure.
Angel and Marc had been best friends while they were growing up. Until Angel declared her love for Marc and he pushed her away.
Angel decides to help Marc with his treasure hunt, and they try to regain the friendship they once had. But by being friends again, could love be far behind?
A Secret Design is a wonderful debut book by Heather Reed. I enjoyed not only the way Marc and Angel interact with each other but also how Reed shows you don't have to be related to be considered a member of the family. This was a sweet love story with just a little bit of mystery thrown in. I can't wait to read more of Reed's stories.

Book Description for A Secret Design
Life in Rock Valley is nothing like Paris, with its fashion shoots and runway shows, and that’s just how Angelina Kensington wants it. Five years after she left to become a famous clothing designer, Angelina can’t wait to come home and relax. She’s made enough money in Europe to buy her dream home near her family’s ranch and go into business with her sister. But her past catches up to her in the form of ranch foreman Marcus Leary.
Struggling to fulfill his grandfather’s last wish—to find his family’s buried treasure—Marc doesn’t have time to deal with this new-and-improved Angelina, or his reawakened feelings for her. He’d once been strong enough to turn her away, but he’s not sure he’ll be able to do it a second time.
But they have to work together to find the legendary Leary treasure before a crazy cowhand beats them to it. And what they’ll discover between them is more precious than gold.
