"Kate Walker made me want these people... to find happiness...."

The Italian's Forced Bride is a wonderful romance.

Alice Howard came to Italy on a working holiday and met the handsome Domenico Parrisi. The were attracted to each other from the start. When Alice became pregnant, she thought he would think she planned to trap him into marriage and he had already told her he didn't do marriage. So she left him and went back to England.

When Domenico finds out she's carrying his child, he informs her that no child of his would be born illegitimate and they would be married. On the eve of their wedding, there's a terrible tragedy and Alice doesn't believe Dominico will still want to marry her. There was also the matter of the other woman, Pippa Marinelli. Alice had heard two women talking about Domenico and Pippa as if they were lovers.

Will Alice leave once more? Will Domenico tell her how he really feels about her? Can he tell her the secret he's been hiding? Where does Pippa fit into his life? I couldn't wait to discover the answers to these questions.

Although there were a few places where I could tell what was coming, this was a wonderful love story that was well-written.

Domenico's revelations about his past surprised me and explained a lot of his actions. Kate Walker made me want these people to be together and to find happiness with each other.
