"Sex, sex toys, and some fun in between..."
Murder is one of the unkindest cuts of all...and Eve Dallas, tough top cop of the NYPSD, has a very rich, very well known murdered man on her hands before seven a.m. on a very cold morning in March of 2060. She stands for the dead in a luxury home on a case that looks like kink gone bad.
At the very start, Eve has a tingle that the whole scene just doesn't ring true. And with her team of diligent homicide detectives, the aid of electronics and her very handsome civilian consultant, she breaks through a very twisted case to find out who had the most to gain from the demise of such a well respected man—and why he had to die like this. Using all of her detective skills, Eve must break through the set-up and see through the thick veil of lies to get justice for her victim.
All the twists and turns in this book make it a different pace for Eve and Roarke...but don't worry, they still make time for each other. However, the book is more centered on the case this time as there is quite a bit to cover.
I found that I really liked the plot. It's strong, and when you add in the heat between Roarke and Eve (that's still sizzling) and all the other relationships in the book, it makes it feel as if their so much more than just characters thrown in to the story. If you haven't read any of the 'In Death' books, you're missing out. It's an awesome series. And Strangers In Death is no exception. Sex, sex toys, and some fun in between...what more could you ask for?
This is a definite page turner and a true keeper. Nora Roberts w/a J.D. Robb never seems to let me down. I just hope she keeps on going.

Book Description for Strangers in Death
Technology may be different in 2060 New York, yet the city is still a place of many cultures and great divides. But as ever, some murders receive more attention than others- especially those in which the victim is a prominent businessman, found in his Park Avenue apartment, tied to the bed-and strangled-with cords of black velvet.
It doesn't surprise Lieutenant Eve Dallas that Thomas Anders's scandalous death is a source of titillation and speculation to the public-and of humiliation to his family. But while people in the city are talking about it, those close to Anders aren't so anxious to do the same. With some help from her billionaire husband, Roarke, Eve's soon knocking on doors-or barging through them-to find answers.
But the facts don't add up. Physical evidence suggests that the victim didn't struggle. The security breach in the apartment indicates that the killer was someone known to the family, but everyone's alibi checks out. Was this a crime of passion in a kinky game gone wrong-or a meticulously planned execution? It's up to Dallas to solve a case in which strangers may be connected in unexpected, and deadly, ways.
