"It's so hot, it's a wonder the book doesn't catch on fire!"
New York, late summer 2058. It's steamy hot and Eve Dallas and her new husband Roarke are on the last leg of their honey moon. They're enjoying their time alone at the Olympus Resort, off planet.
Eve Dallas is a saucy Police and Securities Lieutenant with ten years on the force. She has a reputation for being a hard bitch who's tenacious when she sinks her teeth into a case. And, she's married to a man once a murder suspect who turned out to be her soul-mate.
Roarke, a stunning piece of art with roots in Ireland and more money than he could possibly spend, is a man that women lust after. He's more than HOT. He's SCORCHING HOT!!!
While they're having midnight dinner (after a lot of hot and well-deserved passionate love making), they're interrupted by a knock on the door and a death. Roarke had hoped to have Eve alone for the remainder of their honeymoon, but he understands things just happen. The couple turn the body over to the interplanetary police and head home to New York where Eve's met with more death.
The first case Eve handles after returning from her honeymoon involves connected deaths. The connection challanges Eve to save the lives of others--including someone very close to her. Since time is a factor, she must hurry to place the pieces together before her new life with Roarke is destroyed.
Can Eve and Roarke put all the piece together while trying to keep their wits about them? And all while trying to keep from ripping each others clothes off?
I love all the J.D. Robb books. The stories are great and have such detail that after you've read a couple you can't wait for more. Not to mention all the hot, steamy, passionate sex that Roarke and Eve share. It's so hot, it's a wonder the book doesn't catch on fire!
The two main characters the J.D. Robb "In Death" series centers around are very well developed. The other male characters in the books think Eve is sexy and they often make passes at her. And in the same respect Roarke is the type of man that every woman wants. After a few books you laugh and cry with the characters and you feel as though you know them personally.
And this book was no different. I loved this book. The passion between Eve and Roarke makes you wish you were her. The love they've found and share is spellbinding and the heat of their trysts really make your blood boil! The story is very interesting and you truly see Rapture In Death.

Book Description for Rapture In Death
They died with smiles on their faces. Three apparent suicides: a brilliant engineer, an infamous lawyer, and a controversial politician. Three strangers with nothing in common--and no obvious reasons for killing themselves. Police lieutenant Eve Dallas found the deaths suspicious. And her instincts paid off when autopsies revealed small burns on the brains of the victims. Was it a genetic abnormality or a high-tech method of murder? Eve's investigation turned to the provocative world of virtual reality games--where the same techniques used to create joy and desire could also prompt the mind to become the weapon of its own destruction...
