"...when Joss finally realizes that Hugh may be NOT QUITE AS ADVERTISED, but he's just what she wants and needs...This is definitely a must read!"

Joss McBride, Ad Exec for Visions Media, takes being a perfectionist to a whole new level. While she always strives toward excellence plus some, she often doesn't realize that she's hurting herself in the process. But sometimes life throws someone in your way to help you see the error in your ways. In Joss' case it's Hugh Brannon, her ex-lover, ex-co-worker and industry rival.

When Hugh wins the coveted Dallas ADster award for print ads--an award for which Joss has been nominated for the past two years--for the second year in a row, Joss is civil but hurt. But to top off her disapointment Visions Media and Hugh's company, Kimmerman & Kimmerman, merge forcing her once again to work with Hugh. Could life throw her any more curves?

The answer is yes. Hugh Brannon, an all-too-sexy smooth operator, never understood the reason Joss kicked him out of bed. At their previous employment, they were both responsible for bringing in new clients. But when Joss' pitches to a salon account didn't bring in the business and his did, she took it personal.

Since their split, Hugh's brother has had a life altering event that opened Hugh's eyes. If someone stays so serious and focused on work, a heart attack is waiting to happen. Hugh takes a whole new outlook on life--and on how much he misses having Joss in his life.

So when Visions and Kimmerman merge, he determines it is the best opportunity for him to win Joss back and help her realize she doesn't always have to be perfect. What he quickly finds is that he must first convince Joss that he's sincere. That he loves her and isn't just playing out a line.

Tanya Michaels is an amazing writer. From her sensationally funny Flipsides to her sensually delightful Temptations, she keeps me reading from start to finish hoping for no interruptions. NOT QUITE AS ADVERTISED is no exception. The inner-running theme of realizing what is most important in life--and keeping that in mind no matter what is thrown your way--shines through. And when Joss finally realizes that Hugh may be NOT QUITE AS ADVERTISED, but he's just what she wants and needs the story is fulfilling. This is definitely a must read!

Book Description for Not Quite As Advertised

For a person convinced second best simply won't do, all of a sudden Jocelyn "Joss" McBride can't seem to win. Not in the battles with her snippy Siamese or skirmishes with the fire-breathing dragon who's her mother. Or even more annoying, losing advertising awards and clients to the infuriating Hugh Brannon, her not-quite-perfect ex-lover whom she, um, sort of lost, too.

Well, enough already.

Like any overachiever, Joss is determined to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat — meaning beating Hugh, of course. Unfortunately, her attempts at evening the score bounce right off the Teflon man and a new suspicion dawns — if life was absolutely perfect, wouldn't it be a bore?
