"... who will survive in the end...with all the lies and deceit...?"
Sabrina Sullivan and her sister Michelle have been taken into the Relocation plan that their father helped build after the tragedy of his death. They have been in it for 5 years when trouble arises. Present day in Sacramento, they have both lived and thrived under the watchful eye of Perimeter, without them knowing, of course. New identities had seen to that. Or so they thought. Sabrina--now Brianna--is a third grade teacher, and her sister Michelle is now Shelby, a kindergarten teacher both were about to have their nice quiet lives shaken to the foundation.
A nice clean cut young man starts the whole process by falling in love with Shelby and whisking her off to a secluded location so the two of them can be alone. Shelby and Brianna had always talked every day, even when they were mad at each other and not speaking. It was their way of letting each other know they were all right.
When Shelby disappears without a word for a couple of days, Brianna becomes distraught and goes back to a place she had never thought she would see again. Not until the assassin that killed her father had been caught or was dead. But she's desperate for help to find out information about the man her sister is with. While at Perimeter, she has to talk to her father's best friend "Uncle Theo" and her father's successor Zack Lansing.
Brianna has trouble getting them to believe her at first. Until the surveillance pictures show the man who had quit shortly after a job had gone wrong was the same man who had her sister. Brianna and Zack don't know what the man was going to do with her sister or if he was working with Adonis Zenner, the man who had killed her father. So the hunt begins there.
Uncle Theo is Perimeter's owner and Brianna's adopted uncle after her mother's death 20 years earlier. Zack on the other hand was a hot-blooded spring-into-action man that she clashed with upon meeting. As the search gets under way, the sparks begin to fly, and they find they have so much in common, especially their connection of Sully Sullivan, her friend and his mentor.
With all this going on in this book, it is a wonderful story. You have the budding romance of two couples and more than one twisted murder plot along with a stranger that completes the story. It is a great book and I couldn't stop reading it.
The question is who will survive in the end and will the couples end up together with all the lies and deceit that is going on? There is lots of spy stuff in the book like truth serum and security systems. It is an exceptionally good book. I truly enjoyed it.
