"If I could give this book a 10, I would."

If I could give this book a 10, I would. From the beginning, you're hooked on the heroine. Her life, her attitude, everything about her draws you into the story. And the hero, let's just say he's the ultimate alpha hero.

Former Olympic diver Talia Mooney is trapped into going on the ULTIMATE ENDURANCE reality TV show by her father who's in debt to a loan shark and needs some of the prize money. Having been trained by her mother to survive on an island, she calls on all of her skills to keep not only herself but the other competitors alive during a major storm...while fighting off a psychotic killer.

The romance between her and ex-cop, Reuben Serrano, blooms early and ultimately endures past the show and threat of life.

Ms. Doyle is an excellent storyteller and weaves an endearing, thrilling tale. I was enthralled and kept guessing until the end. THE CONTESTANT is an excellent read by my measure and a definite keeper on my shelf.

Talia had counted on her honed body and ferocious desire to win to pull her through. Now she must decide whom to trust — and how to beat the killer at his own game.…
