"Hot is the best way to describe this book."
Hot is the best way to describe this book. From creatures of the night to psychic twins, this story will have you on edge wondering what will happen next.
To start the story off, Detective Shelley Caldwell receives a call from a trusted informant and finds a body empty of blood but no sign of blood loss around it. But when she calls in the homocide from her car and returns to where the body was to find it gone, she's ridiculed and her shield is replaced by a training instructor's badge...until her sister comes to her with another blood drained body that turns missing.
Shelley goes undercover as her sister in a bar that they figure out is the link between the murders. There she meets the hero, Jake DeAtley. Jake is a dark and myserious man of the night. With his help, Shelley is able to bring down a master of the dark and end the murders of innocent girls.
This story is a bit dark in places, but very exciting. Told in a mix of first and third person, it keeps your interest and makes you wonder who the master is throughout the entire tale. If you enjoy a bit of the mystical mixed with the paranormal, this is a great story for you to read.

Book Description for Hot Case
She was hot on the trail of a cold-blooded killer . . .
Detective Shelley Caldwell found LaTonya Sanford in an alley, her body drained of blood. One minute the victim was lying in an alley, the next she was gone.
When the same happens to another dead woman, Shelley trades places with her sister who waitresses at a Goth bar to go deep undercover. Shelley encounters things no rational detective would believe possible — and a man no earthly woman could resist. But could she trust her instincts and find the killer before she became the next victim?
