"...characters and setting are written so well they feel real."
When San Diego architect Ryan O'Fallon receives a strange call from a reporter in his hometown of O'Fallon's Landing, he immediately calls his father for some understanding. But when he doesn't get the answers he was looking for, his suspicions and worries are aroused leaving him no choice but to head home.
Fellow architect, Effie Wilson has career goals. She also refuses to let Ryan take all the credit for finishing a project they'd worked on together for over a year. So when he explains he's heading home and he'll complete the plans there and communicate with her back in San Diego, there's a brief debate. But in the end, they realize there's no choice but for Effie to come with him.
However, the problem arises when they arrive at the Mississippi River town and a new side to each is revealed. For Effie, Ryan's new side is sweet and totally irresistible. And Ryan's awakened to Effie's soft curves and forward nature. Neither want to pass up the opportunity to get the other out of their system before they return to San Diego. But they quickly find one time together simply isn't enough...
Til There Was U also has a distinct subplot between the O'Fallon housekeeper and the town's richboy that ties together the story nicely and adds a sweet twist.
I believe the entire book is awesome. The characters and setting are written so well they feel real. The main plot that's started in this book and promises to be threaded throughout all of the Four O'Fallon's and a Baby series seems fresh and very interesting. I'm very much looking forward to reading Ms. Castell's next installment, The Way U Look Tonight.

Book Description for Til There Was U
Rory O’Fallon is surprised to discover a beautiful baby girl on his front porch. He knows the baby is his just as sure as he knows her mother must be in trouble to have left her. To find the love of his life, he’s going to need help. It’s time to call his sons home to O’Fallon’s Landing.
Ryan
Workaholic Ryan O’Fallon has made his name as an architect in a top San Diego firm in more ways than one. On the job, he’s the go-to guy who can face down the toughest client without flinching. Off the job, he’s got a rep for playing the field. The company lunchroom odds give his average relationship a whopping ten weeks and two days. And nobody knows better than Effie Wilson, Ryan’s coworker and competitor. After all, she’s won the last two pools on his lack-of-love life and has the Gucci shoes to prove it. Ryan may be Mr. Calm and Cool in the boardroom, but when Effie’s around, he starts to sweat.
As if things weren’t tense enough, Ryan’s dad needs him at home just as Ryan’s biggest project is taking off. There’s no way Ryan won’t help out his dad, but he’s not about to let Effie stay and take all the credit. The only thing to do is to bring her with him to Tennessee so they can work together. Now, back in O’Fallon’s Landing, with its slow, easy days and long, steamy nights, Effie’s letting her hair down big time, going from a buttoned-up businesswoman into a full-fledged, no-holds-barred force of nature…the kind that’s turning Ryan’s world upside down and putting anything but business on his mind…
